  1. I've had the AX3000 for a little over a year. You'll enjoy using the software. It really opens up the possibilities of the unit, especially the ESS. Thanks for starting this blog - bookmarked

yes, i think i will have got a lot more possibilities then. and it´s much quicker to write axf-files to your pc, even to load the presets to your ax3000g :)
i´m realing looking forward to test it!

  5. tried the midi cable...its really quick for uploading and downloading patches...its pretty instant...the thing i thought i could do with it tho is 'direct record' similar to what people do with PODS..use them as a pre amp and plug em into your pc so that you can record with midi sequencers or something like that....i cant get any 'sound' onto my pc at the mo with it, i have to use headphones....anyone else know how to do this? Thanks....oh and great site too, defo bookmarked!!

  6. @shaunfreak: MIDI doesn't transmit sound just sends instructions. You can use it to save/load patches and real-time control of the unit via the software from korg. To get sound on your pc digitally, your sound card would need a spdif input to connect to the spdig output on the AX.

  7. finally i got the midi-cable. just tested it yesterday and it works great. it´s so easy to create your own sounds now, especially with the ess pedal its more comfortable to work with it now.

there are 2 ways to record you guitar sound with the ax3000g.
    1. use the the L/Mono output on your ax3000g to connect it to your pc (analog input/mic)

    2. use the S/P DIF Out to connect to the pc. u need a s/p dif input (digital input).

-> dont forget to change the output of the ax to line out (LN) for both possibilites

  8. This saves me a lot of time, no more hooking up a sound card to get midi/editor. It takes only a few seconds and my laptop. I change presets in between sets, depending on whats coming up in the next set. What a life saver. Korg Rules the tone world!!

  10. Hi there. Can anyone please help me out?

I bought a Midi cable for my ax3000g. I was wondering if I can use this as a MIDI controller. If I can, how?

    Thank you!

  11. By the way, I'm using Mixcraft as my recording software. I was wondering if I can control the Virtual Instruments there through my Korg AX3000g.

    Thanks again!

  13. Do we need any additional device other than PC, AX3000g & USB Midisport Uno MIDI Interface to upload/download Patches between PC and AX3000G.
